Hi Audio,

Couldn't agree more as picture quality is my top priority against others. You want to enjoy watching movies and that's the reason why we are paying for expensive projector. ;)

Will the PQ of the Zappiti beat physical media on a Pioneer, Oppo player etc?
If yes, I will also seriously consider...

If just compare SDR or 4k HDR, not much diff to my untrained eyes. But my oppo 203 can up sample SDR and HDR to Dolby Vision. looks better especuslly when you compare SDR media on zappiti vs the same media but upsampled to DV on oppo.

If you add orders together for the Mini player, you'll incur GST isn't it?  Both Desray and I bought from Amazon instead for the Mini and paid minimal shipping.  This allowed us to avoid GST altogether for single order.  If you are getting the full sized players, then it will be cheaper to get from Zappiti directly since they are absorbing shipping cost.
HDR Rulez - UHD-K8500 | Oppo UDP-203 | Zapitti One Mini

Denon 8500 | Denon 7200WA | Denon 4520 | SVS PC-12+ | JL E110
UHD BD Titles : Countless

My zapitti One 4K just arrived from Amz n updating fw now

The scanning of the movies to build posters takes forever lol

What a %$#@%^&% pain....some movies cannot be detected automatically so had to tag these movies manually. After that, they 'disappeared'. Not displayed on the poster wall

And tell us if it is worth the PQ that you get at the end.  Bear in mind that you might need to do this every time you add new stuff that cannot be identified automatically.

I found that it is easier if you install the Zappiti Video software on a computer and use that to identify the movies. Any edits are likely easier with the use of an actual keyboard instead of the onscreen keyboard.

The other way is to use the Explorer and access the movie directly but that defeats the purpose of having a cover art wall.

Yes. All those things you’ve mentioned are currently been used to overcome a very poorly designed UI. I am shocked that existing users of Zappiti (before me) did not even comment about the UI design and the way it is implemented. It can’t be that my expectation is sky high when even a MIC brand of media players can do a proper UI.

Anyway PQ is still considered one of the best I’ve seen on a media player so far especially when it comes to upscaling of 1080p to 4K. Simply amazing.
