My amp is NAD C320 and I have some multimedia subwoofers such as altec lansing and hercules. Can I use it on the amp's pre out. Will it cause big damage??

Your multimedia subwoofers (bass modules) are active most probably... a pre out will do fine, and as long as you don't push them too hard, they won't get damaged...

Note that: Altec Lansing speakers are often prone to crackling when the input signal is too high.

Cheers,
Foody

Nice, I heard someone suggested that to use the tape2 of the amp for the subwoofer so the speaker volume can be adjusted individually. Is that sound right?

errmm. i tink PREAMP SUb OUT will work out too... u can control the volume too... i would suggest u put ur multimedia subwoofer to a low output level.. dan turn the  knob on ur amp to the maximum level u would normally hear... dan adjust the OUTPUT VOLUME on the multimedia sub... tilll it plays the loundest & doesn't clip... :o
wHat is speed without control?
