If you looking for low cost streamer- there are quite a few-

Google Chromecast Audio
Pioneer N-50A
Cambridge Audio CXN
Cambridge Azur 851N
Cambridge Audio Stream Magic 6 V2
Cocktail

Actually it depends on your preference- using a mini- fanless PC is the best solution- the sound quality is not bad- if u want a dedicated streamer- then have to pay a bit more- there is always a trade off- sound quality vs cost.

Value for money version is Micro rendu or SMS 200- about $700. LPS just get from Alvin1188  or littlemart- which i buy from both of them- less than $160.

Total cost outlay is less than $1000. Contact the below website to source for value for money stuff.

Skeptical coz all the items discussed always cost a lot - no discussesion of good value for money aka reasonable budget items - visit overseas forums and you can see the discussion for both high and lo budget items - not high, and even higher cost items only

A busy week with the arrival of Sotm Ultra & sPS 500 power supply. I have not audition any of Sotm streamer- just take it with a leap of faith- that this is a worthwhile investment.  Without any doubt- this is a value for money- streamer- far exceeded my expectation given the price point compare to those high end brand.

Very clear- transparent- bass is really good- analogue sounding no trace of digital "sound" natural- every night is "live" Jazz for me- a very good synergy with the rest of my sound system- significant improvement over my fanless mini.

Use mainly for Spotify & some rip CD.

Test track for all Bro in XP- Please play loud- very shiok - if you have set up your sound system properly - invest a good Dac & streamer- u will not regret it.

USBridge I find it quite good overall. I do not have chance to do a real time AB test though. It's for sure better than just rpi USB out.

I never imagine myself spending money on item that is not review nor tested by any end user. During the pre- launch- Ray of Raindrop Audio asked me if i am interested in the Sotm sCLK OCX10 Master clock-

What is this ? The sCLK-OCX10 is a master clock generator that produces a high purity 10 MHz clock signal. In digital audio devices, the clock signal acts as the heart of the product, the higher purity of clock brings more accurate and better sound quality.

Do i believe?- I was skeptic initially if it is so good why it is not incorporate into the DAC-or added on the existing structure of the streamer. Given the cost of the Master clock is premium- i thought for a long while and decided to take a plunge after all this is not excessive if the value added far outweigh the cost - that any   Anzus Power cord user can well afford- if they have come to this level of discerning listening.

Wow - i was amazed what this little small item can play a significant role over the Dac. My source is always Spotify- being a value for money guy- i get the latest song from streaming.

The vocal is much deeper with emotion- clearer and louder than usual with more depth and soundstage- The instrument is more body or analog as if the live stage is "present" performing for you.  Suggest if those who are interested to listen for yourself- dont take my word for it- the best experience is hear it first hand.http://www.sotm-audio.com/sotmwp/english/portfolio-item/sclk-ocx10/

One good about this Master clock address the issue of  ""Most digital playback systems produce high frequencies that tend to sound processed or harsh. It is commonly referred to as “digititis” or “digital hash”. It is an unnatural sound that can cause listener fatigue and irritation during long listening sessions.""""There tends to be a much more visceral experience when listening to analog. Listeners tend to be less analytical and just accept and enjoy the musical experience more so with tape or vinyl playback.""  quote from http://www.playbackdesigns.com/

I think i did mention this before in the forum a few times -the high pitch thing- about DAC- It seems the source will address the "high pitch" thing- instead of the DAC-At one time i was thinking about changing the PS Audio Directstream - DAC-  but now with the Master clock- don't think it is necessary- will continue to assess and update everyone. I am still sticking to my Huron firmware.

Those who can afford a master clock should consider it- if not continue to enjoy whatever is given to you.

Meantime enjoy your music.

Some shiok tracks for all to enjoy.
