its brand new format

im a huge Nintendo fan, I always loved how the WIIU is backwards compatible with the wii, but the switch is using cartridge (vs disc on wii and wii) so it is unfortunate that there will be no more backwards compatibility

if you have to choose only one console I'd still go for PS4 (which I also have) , PS4 gets all the AAA games, Nintendo is more like first party Nintendo games and family games (like Mario kart)

Any source of the players can connect and play on 4k tv, but switch only can output native 1080p. U would like to know comment on PQ or SQ or user experience or game choices or pricing or hardware spec or compatibility or ????

The picture quality...will the game video/picture still fill up the whole screen of the 4k tv?

Not sure if you got the answer to your question. The short answer is Yes.

Whatever signal is sent to your TV, the scaler inside the TV will scale it up to the full 4k resolution. You are not going to get real 4k pixels but the image will fill the whole screen. For nintendo switch and the type of games on that platform, you are not going to tell the difference.
