Recently I bought two brand new sealed reissue vinyls from a popular music shop and was shocked to find a couple of very tiny scratches in one vinyl and a dent in another. The scratches are deep enough to cause popping sound. My stylus could track the tiny dent somehow.  I never have issue with mobile fidelity reissue vinyls though.

Is it a common quality problem for reissue vinyls lately? Just wondering whether the shop will believe me to warrant an exchange.

Actually, there have been many QA issues related to reissue vinyls. I think it has to do with the fact that most vinyl pressing shops are working flat out to produce records to meet demand. A recent issue of Dead of Alive's Discography had one record with Elvis Presley on one of the sides! So that is far worse than scratches!
