So how to play DV and HDR10+ on one display. Siao Liao.
https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/tech-news-samsung-s-2018-qled-tvs-are-here-and-they-re-brighter-and-better-everThe 75" Q9F is at least $3k cheaper than the 77" C8, hopefully near $10k during sale events.
At it's current pricing, the OLED seems like a better deal. But unlike Sony, Samsung and LG cut their prices as the models age..
only Q9F is FALD. Q7 and 8 is not.
2018 Q8 will be FALD.
The information I am reading online is confusing. I believe the Q8FN is FALD while the Q8 range is edge lit. Singapore seems to be having the Q8C. https://www.hardwarezone.com.sg/tech-news-samsung-s-2018-qled-tvs-are-here-and-they-re-brighter-and-better-everAnd based on what I read online, Q8C is edgelit:https://www.buzz.ie/tech/samsungs-q8c-qled-tv-ahead-curve-276696
ah.... that clarify things somewhat, 2018 Q8F should be FALD, Q8C should be edge lit. And likely SG will only have Q8C.
It's confusing because some units of the Q8 in N America are actually FALD, and the same model designation elsewhere are edgelit! But suffice to say, the Q8 is edge lit in SG.. For the money, the Sony X9000F is worth considering, and if there's a runout price on the X940E, that's a good unit too. Some of the measurements beat that of the Z9D..
9300/9400 actually is also edge lit. The 9000F is FALD.
