got a question about repairs.

in the event that our players (either 203 or 205) go belly up, who do we go to for repairs locally?

I know the guys in the US can send it back to OPPO.

If your unit is a local set, just bring to Sound Affairs no?

Mine was from Anson Audio.  It is a local set.

Do you know if Sound Affairs services out of warranty Oppos?

Anson’s set still comes from Sound Affairs unless it is during the pre-SLT days. In all cases, just go straight to Sound Affairs.

New FW UDP20XTW-65-0131 out on OPPO Digital Taiwan website : http://www.oppodigital.com.tw/support.php?tab_id=1

hi bros, i'm trying to access the latest firmware for my 205. mine is the taiwan set. since this link is no longer working, would any of you know where else I can get the firmware please? i tried the US site but the firmware is not detectable by my 205 and I'm unsure why. my previous firmware upgrade was from the US site and that seemed to work.

any ideas please?

Hi, anyone knows If there is a way to make audio signal coming out from both HDMI (Main) and (Audio) at the same time?
When I connect to both, audio signal only comes out from HDMI (Audio). No audio signal from Main.

are any of you using the 205 with the JVC N7? I seem to be having trouble with getting the 205 to output proper HDR info to the N7. with the HDR setting as Auto, I only get 1080p when playing UHD discs. when I set to Dolby Vision, I do get UHD resolution but the BT2020 profile doesn't appear. my 205 is currently connected directly to the N7. should I try to route both audio and video via the Denon 8500 instead?

any input would be appreciated, thank you :)

I first discovered this a month ago but I didn't get a chance to troubleshoot. today I had a chance to check with other UHD discs and I found out I just can't seem to get the Oppo to push out HDR info to the N7 while connected directly. I googled and at least one other guy on the internet had the same issue with another JVC but he managed to solve by using the Dolby Vision setting.

i've sent an email to Oppo tech support. meanwhile I'm still trying to source for the TW version of the latest firmware for the 205...

Sorry can't help you out here since I no longer using Oppo player...Any member here can help out. Pls chip in.

But no harm trying to connect it direct to the AVR (8500) and then output to the Projector (N7). Please make sure, the 4k Signal Format setting in the AVR - if available - is set to Enhanced. You can find this settings in Video section of the menu of your AVR.

Also try changing to a different Input on your Projector (from Input 1 to Input 2) and see if it helps. BTW I hope your cable is a true certfied HDCP2.2 that is able to pass through a full bandwidth @18Gbps? Lastly, change your Inputs on your AVR to one of the Inputs nearest to the Output ports of your AVR (8500) and see if it helps.
