It seems like after Sturridge scored the goal, the entire Liverpool team just took their foot of the pedal.
Very similar to so many of their other games in the league.

So many players were piss poor. Emre Can, Moreno, Clyne, Coutinho...... and Firmino - I didn't even know he was playing until he was subbed out. That's how anonymous he was.

There are no excuses, Liverpool blew their own chance.

Guess this current liverpool team is not as "seasoned" as Sevilla when it comes to Final Cup games.

This is the third consecutive final Sevilla has played in.

Look at Liverpool line up.

Maybe Toure and Milner are only the ones.

Got to applaud Klopp for bring the team to the 2 finals with a team that's still mainly Roger's.

Next year will definitely be better.  :D

The longest serving players in the outfield team last night were Cou and Stu. Toure was providing the leadership but he was at the wrong end.

It was a game of two different halves. In the first minute of the second half, when Sevilla scored, Liverpool lost their entire shape and organization. Even playing 3 strikers at one time did nothing because the formation was gone. It was kampong football and long balls forward.

IMHO Liverpool is still too weak mentally. We seem to play better from an underdog perspective, but when we are the favourites we can't come back from deficits.

I can clearly see Liverpool only really improve when they got out of the FA Cup. So I know not playing in Europe can be a blessing in disguise. But it is such a bitter pill to swallow to not play in that arena.

Problem is that Klopp needs to rebuild the team, and it's very hard to attract good players if you don't have Champions League football.
Really thought Liverpool could do it. But oh well......
