Nottingham don't believe in switch for their low torque motor at all,  either leave stationary with motor soft vibrating or you unplug power cord  after vinyl session.

Difference in sound:
Music 'flows' better, more fluid, more natural, more relaxed.
Does that make sense?

Photos not loading...dunno how to correct leh...

I think u can't share publicly directly from Google Drive. You need to use an image sharing platform like imgur.

Just changed the springs for my Gyro SE. The result is a more controlled bass and overall more taut presentation. Money well spent. Fcukin love it! Thanks to master Y again!  ;D
I buy hifi to suit my music, not buy music to suit my hifi.

The tough part about spring and tower replacement was dismantling of old spring adjustment tower from the base.
The result after change is significant.  Worth it!

It's amazing how much the sound can change for so little money. With the help of master Yee, changed the steel ball bearings to ceramic ones in the spring towers. There is a perceptible quieter background, warmer presentation and expanded bass. However, it affect the bite and incisiveness when I play very fast music (metal) so I am in a bit of a dilemma. Will try changing my tracking force and see how it goes.

See my previous post. My old springs were very old, stiffened badly so the improvement in sound may vary for others. Best money I ever spent on an upgrade in recent years. I just fcukin love it when there are big improvement in sound for little money. Hohoisum.  ;D

Edit: I thought u were referring to the sound. Just noticed Steve has answered yr question.
