VINYL
SonicArt posted a topic in Sonic Art,
Sonic Art has more vinyl coming into stock! HERE
When I go looking for vinyl to stock, there are quite a few criteria to fill, one of the main ones being where was it made! There are so many re-pressings out there these days, and so much of it is coming from the 'EU' which would have made most of us very happy 30yrs ago, but these days EU means most likely Czech made from GZ, and the quality can be very hit & miss.
Any vinyl I order in is usually made in the USA at RTI or QRP, some albums are made in Germany or UK, some even coming out of Japan (often older stock) and usually all are extremely good quality vinyl which sounds fantastic and is worth the high prices we pay these days (margins on vinyl are low for small importers, if I didnt want albums for myself as well, I dont think I could justify the time involved in getting it in).
This month I am waiting on the following:
FRIDAY NIGHT IN SAN FRANSISCO - 45rpm 180g version
ROGER WATERS, AMUSED TO DEATH 180g double LP
ROXY MUSIC 'AVALON' half speed mastered from Germany
JENNIFER WARNES 'THE HUNTER' amazing sounding RTI pressing
THREE BLIND MICE 'BLUE ROAD' Japan import!
DIANA KRALL 'LIVE IN PARIS' another excellent album
I usually order vinyl when I have a few requests, and add a few extra of each album, so if you are interested in any of the above, best to shoot me a message on the website to see if there are copies available still.

Frank Prowse Hi-Fi posted a topic in Australia & New Zealand,
Join us in-store on May 7, 2024 at Frank Prowse Hi-Fi for an evening celebrating Monitor Audio Group’s current design and manufacturing capabilities, and its future ambitions.
As one of the oldest Monitor Audio dealers in Australia, Frank Prowse Hi-Fi is proud to showcase the current design, engineering and manufacturing capabilities of the Monitor AUdio Group, as well as its future ambitions. Top-billing at this event will be the incredible HYPHN loudspeakers - Hyphn is a unique loudspeaker, created at a particular point in time through a combination of three specific factors: a deep understanding of the science of how we hear sound; solid engineering principles; and the creative freedom that comes with being an independent business.
In addition we will also be showcasing the Platinum and Gold ranges through the night. Speakers will be driven by T+A electronics.
Refreshments (food and beverages) will be available on the night.

Price: AUD $30000
Item Condition: Exceptional
Shipping Options: Pickup available and you can audition.
Suburb or Town: Sandy Creek 4515
State: QLD
Payment Method: Cash bank transfer
Reason for selling: Looking for a new custodian for this iconic speaker system.
Further Information:
I recently purchased the paragon from the original owners. It was manufactured in 1976. I have 3 pairs of JBL speakers and don't have the room to do the paragon justice. I have the original owners manual etc. The LE15A woofers have had the suspension replaced by Queensland speaker repairs. All other components are in excellent condition and are working as they should. An inspection and audition is welcomed. Thanks for viewing.

Overview of subwoofer management
Keith_W posted a topic in Speakers, Soundbars and Subwoofers,
I wrote this post on another forum, but I thought it might benefit SNA readers, so I am reposting it here. The question that was asked was: "how do you integrate a subwoofer to the mains?". When you add a sub to a system, you need to:-
