Don’t know if this model is good enough for 4K or have to spend another $1000 more for the high end Pioneer and Panasonic.

That depends a lot on your requirements. Video only or audio as well.
A basic 4k player playing 4k discs will still be better than an expensive full HD only audiophile BR player.
If you want an all in one unit for music and video, then be prepared to pay more. O
Or get one 4k player for your video, and a good CD / SACD player. It may prove to be more economical...

I have an OPPO 105D. Just need a good 4K player with all the new video features like Dolby Vision, HDR 10 etc from what I read. I have a separate CD/SACD player. 4K player just for video.

There you go bro, you already have a checklist of specs you want, and many of the basic players have them. Cheers

I got myself a Sony X700. 4K disc playback looks great. Unfortunately it does not seem to be able to play my BDMV movie files stored on hard disk.

Hi, I am thinking of getting an Xbox One X to use primarily as a UHD player with my Sony 4K TV.

I read that it had many issues in the past and some seems to have been fixed by firmware updates. Would appreciate any advice if it currently has any issue with the support Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision? Thanks!

Oops! Found the dedicated Xbox One S/X thread. Will post there instead.

Anyone heard about the Japanese limited edition UB9000? It’s no ordinary ub9000.

Technics name keep mentioned... Although I HV no idea what the Japanese words meant. Perhaps they trying to indicate that the audio section tuned by Technics?
