Partnered with Audio Research tube preamplification and Dan D’Agostino Power amplification

I have the giya g3 with arc ref 6 and dagostino momentum stereo amp. They  have good synergies.

It either the Giya, the Kaya or the MBL Radialstrahler (101E MkII or 111)

You can keep the B1 but it just a waste a time...you need more....

That’s the B1Decade not the regular B1

I had the G4 and the original B1 previously in the another room and I preferred the B1

I know Audio keeps telling me this is an upgrade from our Thiels

But I wasn’t fully convinced until I got them in this partnership.

I still keep my Thiel 2.7. But sorry DH, it ain't no match for my Giya G4.

I found the G4 bass to be overwhelming. I actually preferred the bass on my 3.7 with twin SS2.2

This morning I moved the Electrocompaniet Nemos down to try with the B1 Decade and it doesn’t really sound as bad as I thought they would vs the Dan D’Agostino.

Put the Dan back on.

Nope. Still prefer the Dan with the Vivids.

Am surprised how the Dan sounds less harsh. I always found the Nemo’s to be too warm sounding. But the Dan doesn’t sound less detailed.

G4 has limited bass extension - down to 37 Hz IIRC. BTW, I prefer mine with about 10-15 degrees toe-in. Make sure you wallop them well and good. At least a hundred hours before the twin bass drivers start to settle in.

Nothing in the world will produces a tighter bass than your SS2....period.

The Nemos and the Dan's are in different class.  The Nemo is no match for the Dan as the B1 will reveal.

Time to retire the Thiel.
