Does anyone have or know where to buy a Mains Noise Analyser something like this?

I want to test how dirty my AC power is corrupting my power amp.

Cheap and simple.
Get hold of an Oscilloscope to measure noise.
Then get a line conditioner.

Low voltage still easy to find a spectrum analyzer. But high voltage, need special probe to such use. If not the scope will be fried.

When was the last time I came in contact with an oscilloscope?

In the year 1995.

Oh boy isn’t this harder to get a hold of and I don’t think I remember how to use it? But this gives me an idea a friend to ask.

Nowadays people using computer based scope via usb.

U might have luck in rscomp getting Picoscope

Could use a step down transformer say 6 volts AC on the secondary line to make low voltage noise measurement.

Step down is almost like a isolation transformer, might miss out many measurements.

Like that just use a large KVA isolation transformer to provide power source to all your audio equipment.

Otherwise very difficult to find a scope that comes with very good voltagr protected probes.

Just curios, anyone has before and after isolation transformer measurements done before?  Wonder how it will compare to power line noise conditioners.

I used to own this device Dussun CT 1AC where you can hear the noise in your ac system using a headphone. I try it at different ac point on the house and it’s different sounding. It’s a combination of hissing , rushing noise and sometime a slight hum. I use it to hear difference in power cords and different ac filters/devices. Some power conditioners makes the level softer, some have no audible effects. Some power cords filter the sound. All this are quite subtle. No big shift / change.

Which make and models are the best?
