I’ve dropped Supergirl too and quite far behind on this season of Arrow.

I did enjoy the Elseworld crossover. The crossover didn’t really require Pre existing knowledge of the current series of Arrow or Supergirl.

True, which made it an easier throw-away watch  ;D

The CW has arguably the most exploitative characters and storyline on TV.

The entire Supergirl S4 anti-alien storyline is an echo chamber for Trump's anti-immigration policy in the US. The inclusion of the first trans superhero (played by a trans actress no less) feels incredibly exploitative to me. The sexuality of the Nia Nal/Dreamer character is irrelevant to the story. The fact that CW PR went overtime with the casting of the first Trans Superhero tells you something.

Ditto for Ruby Rose and Batwoman. Of course, we know that Batwoman is a gay character but again the CW went out of their way to cast an openly gay actress for the role. Why? I mean, do you really need to be gay to play Kate Kane? Of cos not right. Professional actors and actress are supposed to be able to play roles that they are not in real life like gangsters, murderers, drunks, addicts, deviants etc..

In fact, you can argue that CW was prejudice in their casting decision by only considering a gay actress for the role of KK/BW. So much for the inclusivity that CW like to trumpet. It's all just feels like a cheap PR stunt to me.

But this is par for course for the CW. The entire Arrowverse are filled with characters that are the racial and sexual 'flavours of the moment'. Charcters are racial swaps just to feel like they are keeping up with the time. Characters become gay just because it feels fashionable to have a few gay characters hanging around.

I make no secret to being a DC fanboy and some of the CW creative decision can be hard to take sometimes. So it helps to filter out all these nonsense and just concentrate what they are doing well.

The final season of Gotham is almost here. And a new trailer has dropped. OK this one may be a little spoilery so may want to consider before clicking 'play'

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/mUe79BSig_4&fs=1" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/mUe79BSig_4&fs=1</a>

Oh wow! The Legend of the Dark Knight indeed. If the final season lives up to the hype of the trailer, we are in for a wild 13 episodes. And the show is certainly going out with a bang.

And with the conclusion of Titans. The next DC Universe TV series to be rolled out is Doom Patrol on 15 Feb. A new teaser has dropped.

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/5JG-TNPkV8k&fs=1" target="_blank" class="new_win">http://www.youtube.com/v/5JG-TNPkV8k&fs=1</a>

Cyborg looks really off. But otherwise, Robotman, Negative Man and Elastic Girl was spot on from what I have seen in Titans. But I'm sure this series is not for everyone. Expect a lot of weirdness from this one.

To the surprise of absolutely no one, Batwoman officially gets a pilot order from the CW.

SOURCE: ‘Batwoman’ gets a pilot order at the CW

It's not a series order yet but it's probably just a formality. I dun know why the CW bothers with the order cycle and not just go straight to series order with Batwoman.

The Gotham series finale is upon us and with the time-jump for the last ep, we will get to see what Smallville fan never got to see.

I'm not sure how much Batman we will get to see but I'm guessing not a lot.

The renewed S08 for Arrow will be its last. And it's only 10 episodes. Guess Stephen got tired of the show that makes him a star and wants to move on.

My guess will be that the series will end with the crossover event for the end of this year - Crisis on Infinite Earth.

The next DC Universe's Original Series - Swamp Thing premiering on 31 May has released a trailer.

The effect looks good and the vibe is so different from Titans and Doom Patrol. This looks like pure horror straight out of James Wan playbook.

Krypton S2 returns 12 Jun and things certainly look hectic for season 2.

Not only is Brianiac coming back, we are getting Doomsday and Lobo too. Doomsday looks OK but Lobo just looks completely out of place. I don't know what the writers are thinking so will have to wait and see how things play out.

Wow. They did a 10 yr jump for the final episode. Check out the epic trailer for the Gotham finale.

Looks like a lot happening. I dun know how they are going to squeeze all that into a 42 min ep.

The Nolan-influence is unmistakable. Even the Bat signal looks like the one used in Nolan Dark Knight.

Wow...I just finished watching DC's Swamp Thing (2019) Season One - Pilot episode. It is nothing like I expected...gritty, dark and horror all blend into one. The Swamp Thing design embodies the comic creature. The sound effects is also great. Episode 2 coming this Sat.

Go watch the pilot and you will be amazed how good it is...at times, I thought I am watching a movie. Directed by Lens Wiseman (of Underworld series).

Highly recommended!

Yep. Only a few days after the pilot episode. What a pity. Some government budget funding error of some sort.

Still can watch all 10 episodes as they would be aired on DC Universe. Just need to watch online or download to watch them that's all. ;)

It's ironic that the WB-owned DC Universe TV series is murked in uncertainties because of planned WarnerMedia streaming services.

Elsewhere, it seems that other DC TV shows continue to flourish with shows like Batwomen, Lucifer, Krypton and Pennyworth etc.

Add one more to the above shows - LOBO!

SOURCE: ‘Krypton’ Spinoff ‘Lobo’ Featuring DC’s Deep-Space Bounty Hunter In Works At Syfy

Really? LOBO? Who sees that coming? When I read that Lobo would feature on S2 of Krypton, I was like 'Okay...' And then I saw the still and I was like 'Hmmm.. ' and now I am like 'What the hell are they thinking?'

Dun get me wrong. I think Lobo is a hellva character and as with this type of character, it's challenging to get the nuance right. I would reserve judgment until I watch Emmett J. Scanlan's protrayal of the character but so far from the trailer, he did not really blew me away. Neither did the costume and make up. I have seen better cosplay than that. So it remains to be seen if this is a brilliant decision on the part of SyFy or a really bad one.

Another DC character is making the jump to the small screen and it's a big one - The Sandman!

Netflix has ordered an 11 episode series based on the popular character created by Neil Gaiman.

Lots of news coming out from Comics Con for the world of DC Comics on TV.

Despite the awful tragedy on the set of Titans, S2 will premiere on Friday, Sep 6.

‘Doom Patrol’ Renewed For Season 2 By DC Universe Via Deal With HBO Max

‘The Flash’: Sendhil Ramamurthy To Play DC Villain Bloodwork On Season 6

Bloodwork? If you are wondering who that is, I guess you're not the only one. Bloodwork is a relatively new character introduced in 2017 as part of the 'DC Rebirth' Flash comics.

The planned Arrowverse this year - Crisis on Infinite Earths has revealed some news.

From the mundane (the chap playing Robin in the silly TV series will make an appearance - who cares?)  to the absolutely big one!

Tyler Hoechlin & Brandon Routh To Suit Up As Superman For Arrowverse Crossover On the CW

The CW writers have been milking Brandon Routh Superman's reference for many years now and now they have taken it to the ultimate conclusion!

According to this report, he won't be playing the Superman from Singer's 2006 movie but the older and grumpier Kingdom Come Superman.
