I guess this is Panny's last stride into the projector business...swim or sink.

Trying to guess what panel Panasonic would use.  LCD, RLCD, D-ila, SXRD or DLP? Panasonic is the only company now with a true 18Gbps HDMI 2.0 chip. With the right product, pricing and more aggressive marketing they should be able to find a market niche to support them.

Could it be this -

Quite unlikely but who knows?

Guys, get ready for a  great disappointment from Panasonic.

Panasonic's Press Kit released for CES2014 today:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
January 7, 2014

4K Events Projector

A prototype 4K-compatible  projector  will  be on display.  This prototype projector  uses
industry-first technology to shift pixels two-dimensionally in both horizontal and vertical
directions, quadrupling the pixel density and projecting beautifully crisp 4K video signals
offering solutions for events.

What a letdown, Panasonic !!

panasonic is very strong in the commercial market - their product line is one of the most comprehensive in the market.
Hdmi 2.0 will not pick up steam, because HDbaset is the new standard for audio/video cable integration.
Learning is always fun.
