Hi Guys,

Bought Lumin D1 recently, as the given power adaptor is standard type. Would like to look into Linear PSU to give more quality juice to my D1. Any recommendation aside from Kenneth Lau's LPSU and Sound Affairs' LPSU?

This looks good with its dual port, I can use for Lumin and Popcornhour plus it is built like a tank.

D1 caught my attention ;D

Is it able to play SACD ISOs? Do I still need a music software like Audivana or PureMusic for using a streamer? Does D1 upsample FLAC files?

I guess the change here is that I dont need a Macmini / Audivana which is my current setup.

Lastly is HK cheaper vs SG prices (pls PM if easier on pricing)

Thx

Can play SACD ISO if you are using JRiver on your desktop. If strictly from Synology NAS, you got to extract to DSF or DFF for playback. So far, D1 playback FLAC at native, never tried to upsample them though. SG prices is pretty attractive.

Actually, I think you can point to the Synology NAS content directory using the JRiver import from folder function and it will be done automatically.

OK, I have A LOT of SACD ISOs and I should say that JRiver is not 100% able to recognize every one of them due to some inconsistency in the SACD tagging and the text formats.   But it works most of the times  (90% at least).  To make sure you can playback all SACD properly, you must extract the SACD ISO into DSF files and manually tag them....., it is really a pain but you will be rewarded with good sound.   :)

What software to extract the SACD ISO?

ISO2DSD

Audio / Tiktokape...Using JRiver means I need to use a Mac or PC in the chain too? I thought I can survive using the D1, Synology and Lumin iPad App.

If you want to playback from Lumin D1 by reading from your Synology NAS via Lumin iPad app, can be done, extract those SACD ISO(s) to DSF format first because Synology NAS cant process those SACD ISO(s).

If you want to read SACD ISO(s), like Audio mentioned, you got to use JRiver to import SACD ISO(s) from your Synology NAS into JRiver Library. Enable DoPe in JRiver, it will locate Lumin D1. Either using JRiver from your Desktop, JRemote or Lumin iPad app to playback those SACD ISO(s). JRiver is acting as the central software library for playback.

Correct me if i'm wrong. For my case, I'm doing the manual way, extract and tag those DSF files accordingly but I view it as 1 time off.

Audio, after tagging those DSF files with correct information and cover art, by putting them back to ISO. Will it read correctly in JRiver to resolve the inconsistency in the SACD tagging and the text formats?
