You will know what details are missing in the “dark” battle scenes of Season 8 GOT.

Nice, just in time for CNY. Enjoy this very excellent new toy bro.

Let us know if u need any help/advice on the settings.

The out of the box SDR settings for the ISF and Techni and Movie modes are already quite good. Just need to do the usual white/black levels calibration for bright and dark room environment, warm2 color mode and turn off all color EQ like the motion, Dyn contrast etc. And u will be a happy man.

HDR is another story ha... Just turn off all the color EQ but leaving dyn tone mapping on will do.

Don’t need to be a GOT fan because if you are unable to watch the fine details in the dark scenes or rather barely see what was happening then your set is very likely “uncalibrated”. Then you got to “fix” your display settings.

Check it out because this is one inexpensive method of checking your “calibrated” display by this “unofficial dark mode” reference material which was intentionally filmed this way.
