Panasonic 65FZ950 going for $3,360 at Best Denki Great World City.
Display set though.😉

Just passed by BD yesterday and tested out the fz950. The pq is so beautiful!

Those who got the panny, great choice and congrats! :)

It seems like the motion panning is good, better than the LG C7. So good

I like the panny's calibration menus too. (some how I like it better than the LG menu). Was quoted about 3.9k for new set (think they can give a further discount if I were to buy on the spot)

the sony A8F 65 inch is 11k MYR in malaysia. that's such a good price. i would buy and pay gst gladly.

Curious to find out from this forum, whether anyone here or know of anyone who had bought a 65" 4K UHD HDR TV from Johore and successfully brought it through by own transport through the Causeway to Singapore, and paid GST.  Please share.

After 2.5 years my LG 65B6 got no power n no red light
Switch wall sockets also same problem
Call LG service and was told on site charge is $321 before parts n labour if no warranty
Luckily still hv 6 months warranty left

Oh no. Another victim of design to fail near warranty end. If still have warranty, quickly claim.
My sad case was 3 months after warranty ended, end up giving away the LG LCD TV to karang guni. Same fault, cannot power on. The service charges can kill. I have sworn to myself not to buy LG again.

Just open up, look for the part number of the power board and order from Taobao.

Unscrew, unplug the cables, replace with spare from TB. connect back.

done!

As long as you still can find the board replacement online then yes it's not difficult to repair. I replaced the mainboard of couple of plasma TVs before.

My new Panny 950 OLED had power board failure within a month of purchase. Hope after power board replacement the TV will last for many years like my plasma.

Your LG is under warranty but still needs 3 weeks to wait for a spare?

Did you get a loaner set from them to tide you over the 3 weeks wait?

Need to get a new tv as my niece destroyed mine.
Saw forumers getting the Panny 65FZ950S. Cheapest new set I could find was at Audio House at $3,999, price ok?
Went to BD and price was $1k more. Dunno where else cheaper..
Any cheaper price I saw would be demo unit.
Some one rec me not to get demo unit cos they turn on for whole day everyday, usage very high.
Or any other recommendation apart from the Panny?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Audio House web listing indicates 3 years
1 year will be a serious downside
