Just completed a 3 weeks "mini" renovation to install a operable wall between living and dining. The operable wall is 110m thick is fabric, 5mm foam, 16mmMDF with .8mm mild steel plate, rockwool and plate/MDF/foam/fabric again. It is installed so that I can watch movie in the afternoon and some sound insulation when there are 'conflicting' usage of the open concept living and dinning and island.

I ran Audy again with the wall operated. The crossover for the surround back AG Diva SE, on stand on cabinet, dropped from 150 to 110Hz. I ran it 2 times again, each time with 3 seating position. The result again is 110Hz. Not sure why but I like that now the surround back AG Diva SE crossover is close ( in fact lower) to the ATMOS AG Diva (120Hz).

Hi bro.

Possible to pm the cost and the contact of your contractor?

Photos please.  ;D

Thanks.

The surround is on wall mount stand. I double sided tape it onto a chopping board as a lot of kids running around. I then put them on a spare Auralex foam. But it was 150hz until the operable wall is installed.

I never tried wall mount as cannot get approval.

Wont mind to share more about this 'the operable wall' which can contribute to your 110hz Xover of these sattelite speakers.
How much did you purchase these sattelite speakers?

I wonder whether can use this amount of $$$ to get decent bookshelf for surround/ceiling.... will it sound better?
Hear opinion pls

I will create another thread later for the operable wall.

I bought The AG Diva speakers from Peng, Econav. Check the sales forum for the latest offer by Peng. You can do to his shop at Aldephi to listen as well. I did that as well. He spent 3 hours with me as I am a AV novice.

Just to reconfirm, in the past, what xover have u been getting for ur Diva SEs and Divas? 150hz and 120hz respectively? How are the Divas mounted / placed

I see you used the wall of plastic to screen off the dust.. used that in my place before.. nice new place. Well done.
As a point source the AGs do pretty well.

The ceiling Diva SEs were always in-ceiling mount with the original AG ceiling mount kits. Crossover was always 120Hz before and after the operable wall.

The back surround Diva SEs were always mount on wall mount but use as desk stand. Double sided taped to a chopping and put on a Aurlex speaker platform and put on a wooden cabinet. The same stepping before and after the operable wall. Crossover before wall was 150Hz. After wall, 110Hz.

Today I move the Denon 2300 to connect the 4 Diva SE at dinning. Connected using L,R, Surround L,R. Play spotify through the 2300 wifi. Set to multi channel stereo. No Audy.

Overall, the music sound better in the sense of I can hear more detail as compared to connect as zone 2 and zone 3 of the denon 6300.

Will find time to shift and connect the Rythmik E15HP to see any improvement with a sub.

After a few days, confirmed that Denon 2300 produce better SQ than zone2+3 of Denon 6300 via a emotiva A-500.

Now the problem is that the 2 Denon remotes operate BOTH denon AVR at the same time!

So I will shift the 2300 back to the bedroom and find another non-denon AVR or other solution to drive the 4 Diva SE for music.

Any recommendation for a musical AVR or bgm Amp?

Got this from Gallo site for A Diva SE
"
On wall or floor stand:   80Hz to 22Khz
Isolation ring or table stand:   100Hz to 22Khz
"

Has any bro installed Diva SE on wall or floor stand and able to get 80Hz?

I cannot find the frequency range for ceiling mount.

regards

I typically get 110-120Hz as the crossover from my ceiling mounted ones. You have seen my setup...

Good morning everyone.
I am running the Adivas for my surround and the micros on my ceiling as Atmos speakers. The micros are mounted using the adaptors from AG into my false ceiling boards.
What are the pro and cons of changing the Atmos speakers to the Adivas for my case?
Will I enjoy better Atmos effect?
Will the bigger Adivas causes rattling in my ceiling boards?
Appreciated all your views.
Cheers

One benefit u should be able to see is a 10-30hz lower xover on your Atmos. Which likely give you a overall cleaner bass for overhead sounds.

Better Atmos effect - IMO, this would be more dependent on the calibration, angling and placement of the overhead speakers.

Hope this helps :)
