Need some advise on PC's Sound Card for Audiophile Stereo playback.

Will need a PC for general usage(Internet & work), + to be able to use it as a Music Server to Digital out to a External DAC(24/192).   A external DAC with USB will cost more in the market, and & some USB may be limited to (24/96) but I may be wrong.  Thus will prefer via Coaxial digital out from from the PC sound card, which will bypass the sound Card's DAC.  I can also have the option to analog out (using sound card DAC) to my pre-amp.

Consideration is this External DAC(24/192) will also take in Digital out from my CDP so as to Analog signal out to my Pre Amp--> Power Amp for Stereo Music.

I just came to know of :

1) ASUS Xonar Essence STX
2) ESI Juli@  (is there a later version as from web info this was intro 2004 ?)

Any Recommendation, please?   Tks

Maybe you can consider the m-audio soundcards, this one is a PCI one:

Affordable brand and good sounding.

The ESI Juli@ seems to be ok , but I have never heard how it sounds before, so i can't advise, there is also a cheaper model the Maya 44

Cheers

U may consider Auzentech range of cards.

Using Forte 7.1....older generation but sounds good without DAC.. ;)
High end is not about the equipments but about the music it produce
