psu should be around 30kg and power amp around 35kg. that is my personal estimate base on the individual iron's weight specéd by manufacturers.

Man... that is a beast...!!!

...$1677 a pair, rated for this application, in today's context is not too bad eventhough i have yet to know how it will sound but i trust your judgement  ;D i remember the tamura F-2007 back then when frankie was still over the other side was already $2K plus.
Jo, mine is their Summit Series, ie. their 'higher' line, with teflon interwinding dielectric, dual C-cores.
678 Euros a pair. Shipping by EMS is a killer due to the large size and heavy weight of 25kg. 350 Euros.
In total i paid S$1677 after currency conversion.
Of course there are less costly units around. But after communicating and consulting the designer of Monolith, getting reviews by writing to some diyaudio members and looking at how well they document their products and tech specs, i have decided to order from them.

Jo, you may check their pricelist in their website. as well as shipping cost.

To add : checked price of Tango X10 with Larry, they cost a whopping $2.5k now!

...mammoth!  ;D luckily you have the right mind to separate the PSU and the signal halves.

top plate sanded down....primer....buffed......primer....buffed.....primer.....buffed.......then paint .....buffed....then paint.....

a view of the finished amp...

The finishing is very nice. Can share what kind of primer and paint you used? Is buffing done by some buffing machine?

neoinc, the primer and paint used is RustOleum brand. $25 a can from Self-Fix. I only managed to get the primer from the Vivocity outlet, which has a wider range of products. they are not cheap but has a good adhesion to aluminium surface. I have amps that are around 4yo with Rustoleum finish and the surface is still as good, w/o any peeling yet. buffing is done using very fine sanding sponge for wood or soft metal finishing - by hand.

the curve tells the operation Va and Ia at optimise loading resistance n back current flown wich harmonics orders counted-in into tis parameter, sound imaging and stage are harmonics if you measure
them in a entire concealed sound-proof room............

this is something new to me but u have not answered my curiousity. How does 1200v and 120ma translate into soundstaging to u? how is soundstaging measured? in terms of what parameters?the curve is electrical characteristics, so how do u read it off the curve and translate into a non electrical result? if u have mentioned u experimented and experienced it, i will find it credible. I am solid state trained but i have done enough tube amps to understand the technicalities of things. so u may dwell into the technicalities of it, no problem.

hope u can explain further especially the 'back current'....... and 'loading resistance'..... and how do u count in these into harmonics to equate to soundstaging. harmonics are frequency components that can be measured off analyzer instruments right off your amp outputs. u do not need sound proof room....  or am i missing something?

very simple jus do an experiment on differ Va n Ia,Vg1 on ur GM70 with different loading and hear the result by yourself, you will find out liao.
I wonder why u need to do ur GM70 working in fix-bias mode?do you know why?how is ur damping factor affects the sound?think about it.

BTW:Tango X-10 is not a suitable output xtrans to play wif GM70 due to its max dc current.
