The following are my modification pics of my A5+.     Xovers are using Mundorf Caps and M Resistors. Amp side using Nichicon Gold Tunes and some Muse caps. Hookup wires using Belden Silver plated wire.

Where did you buy your m caps from? and the mundorf resistor as well?  Asking as I am now sourcing for parts for my own upgrading project

Hi Bro, time is precious. Ha.....the spks are new originally until I overhaul. Glad you are enjoying them now, spks takes quite sometime to run-in. Do you want to mod also? Ke...ke

I think the mods may have cost more than the speakers haha.

But that's also how it is with Lenehan Audio. The PlusR and Reference upgrade price can cost more than the base speaker itself!

Your source poor? I thought you using lossless, I'm using Flac.

Cleaned up the PC a bit with tweaks, JPlay, hibernate mode, etc.

Got some 24/196 and 24/96 files.

FLAC is not the best sounding btw but good enough, might dep on the latency of ur computer.

Still prefer a CDP though- got a long way to go.

This I fully agreed, when connect to cdp it sounds so much better. But my usage is for pc, so the spks got to swallow the pride of playing Flac.

Do you find that the mods have changed the sound for the better? I have this speaker too, and one thing I've always thought wld be a good practical mod would be to swap out the TRS input for some RCA ones.

I've also always wondered if it would be a problem to change out the single speaker cable to something more sexy. Not sure if it would be "unbalanced" since amp to left speaker is some other hook up wire.

Actually by just swopping out the TRS input does not help much on the SQ. Just a cosmetic mod. It is the Xover parts and amp caps makes the biggest difference follow by the internal hookup wires.

Putting a good quality spk cable to the right will boost better frequencies, don't forget the left spk is driven directly from the amp using the same wires.
