Topic: Any aircon servicing agent to recommend?

Piping no need to clean.  In fact, the piping is insulated with a layer of thermal padding.....how to clean?

Furthermore, the trucking is either hidden or painted over.  Removing the cover will spoil the finishing of the paint covering it.

Normal air-con servicing only removed the dust and dirt accumulated in the fan unit...and once a while, remove the dust trapped in between the cooling vanes in the compressor / comdensor unit.

How could they touch the piping from comporessor to the fan unit?  It is all in the trucking.

They suck out the jelly and crap accumulated in the pipes with a vacuum normally. this is important as if it clogs you will have a big mess in your room

One of my units blowing out air,not cold, came down go make a check,they rectify that the wires(green,blue,red) was spoilt, to change that wire and run a casing from the unit to the compressor costs  $280!

Are their charges too high or that's the standard rate?and my system only bought for 1year 4 months..

If wires (green,blue,red) was spoilt, means shorted out ? then how can unit still working ? Air-cond Fan Coil still blowing air means unit is working, nothing wrong with wires ! Did you ask them to check if gas leaked ?

According to them,only one of the wires was short circuited..still can on, but hot air and the timer led on the unit is blinking citing error..

you cant short circuit one wire...unless it to ground or another wire...or pipe. or they meant its open circuit.

As I understand it...there are 3 wires... 2 for the fan coil operation (normally lower voltage these days) and one for the fan coil to tell the compressor to run...at least Im guessing this is how it would work. Maybe I'll do a search on AC operation on the web.

Its a invertor..they tested with new wires and it worked fine.

Yah man..the thick wires..plus workmanship to do the casing and run to the compressor.

I ended up using coolserve. I got them to check all 4 units in my house, and do chemical wash if required. In the end, they only charge me general wash for 2 units, saying the other 2 are still very clean. Honest guys, did not proceed with chemical wash just to earn more. No gas refill required as well.

I just got coolserve to come this weekend. I've got 5 units only the bedroom one is used regularly, another two once or twice weekly and other two seldom. They will just charged based on which ones really needs cleaning I hope?

How long does it take to do the job ?  If it's not more than an hour and the wires is less than 10m, it's very expensive.

No idea,but because my existing trunking is built in and runs behind another wardrobe,they have to do a casing from the unit running to a part of the old trunking then merge to the compressor..prob about 10m?

I think is better to do chemical servicing compared to normal servicing.
Chemical servicing more worth it and it can help to remove the dust and germs inside the unit.
