It's also that those who bought do not read this forum. With the exception of one now.  ;D

Anyway, I'm still amazed that vendors still stick their noses in places where their publicity is not required, bad sales at the shop perhaps?

You mean econav? oops... =X

Looks like JL is listening. They are releasing "lower end" e series which have 80-90% of the performance of the f series. But for like half the price. Prices start from US1.3k for the 10" with a 1000W amp. Definitely staying tuned. Sounds great.

Wonder if they can still make it in USA with such discounts.

I actually think the cheaper ones look better.

"I was told these new E-Subs ought to have the same performance within 2 dB of the Fathom (F112 etc.) line, for half (-6dB) the price. That tells me that two of them will cost the same as one Fathom, and be 4 dB better in performance! In any case, stereo music needs two subwoofers, so get two."

JL E-112:

Enclosure Type: Sealed.

Driver: 12-inch (nominal), e-platform.

Frequency Response: 20 - 110 Hz (+/- 3 dB)

Amplifier Power: 1400 watts RMS short-term.

Dimensions (HWD): 16.13 x 15.5 x 18.2 inches (410 x 394 x 462 mm), including feet and controls.

Net Weight: 70 lb (31.8 kg).

Available: Third Quarter 2012.

Retail: Black Ash: $1,600.00. Wood Veneer: $1,700.00 (each; two needed for stereo).

"The only missing control compared to the Fathoms is the crossover slope, which is fixed at 24 dB/octave. It includes both HP and LP sections. I don't recall any auto- room correction ability."

hi guys,

I have been using the F113 sub from last almost 4 years now and I must add it is one powerful beast. I had SVS prior to it, with no dis-respect the bass quality of JL is better then SVS. That said the PB ultra which I use to have was slightly louder than JL.

Ever since I have bought the sub, I never had to check the bass section of forums as I knew there are only 2 better subs then this i.e. Gotham from JL and krell reference sub which is truly special piece.

Thought I should add the experience here.

Yo Odin . . wow! I saw your F112 pictures . . . awesome! How much you bought it?
I asked the local dealer, he quoted me S$3200 after discount.

By the way . . I noticed your voltage is 120V? You still need to use stepdown? Any distortion?
Your warranty will have any issue since its not recognize in Singapore?
