The DXO mark for mobile phones are getting higher and higher with each iterations...regardless of the brands these days. I really don't see a need to get a pro camera kit to shoot photos and videos these days. Just get a good mobile handset with these features.

I reckon in 2 years time, all amateur Photographers will turn to camera phones for their hobbies, only professional Photographers will hold on to their DLSRs for their livelihoods.

Who would thought that 64mp and 108mp sensors will be available in the coming months at such a speed, really amazing! :o

xxmp is one thing, size of the sensor still quite far behind a real camera, no ? 1/2in or 1/2.5in sensor compared to 1in sensor.  plus OIS

Yup, megapixels is one thing and sensor size is another but this is a start of good things to come in camera phone technology...

The P30pro has a higher photo score than the Note 10+ 5G.

The S10+ 5G has a higher score than the S10+.

Note sure if the Note 10+ 5G will be sold in SG.

If not then the Note 10+ overall score may be lower than the 5G version (like the S10+ vs S10+ 5G).

Think the 10+ and 10 5G both using the same sensors and number of lens so don't think it will effect the score. Difference will be the 10 though.

When I tried both the Note 10 and Note 10+ on display...I felt Note 10's weight is more evernly distributed on my hand. I really hate the curved edge screen display which register some "accidental" touches from time to time. The sound gets abit distorted when I blast it at full volume. But I only played with it for less than 5 mins. I have to admit the near bezel-less Amoled screen display is indeed mesmerizing to look at.

The Note is smaller therefore easier to hold and use with one hand, and also lighter but the Plus is definitely more premium! Well, I have gotten used to curve screen so not a problem for me. They both feel good and classy on my hand ;D
Question is whether to upgrade now or later when the price drops. :)

My take on this is..."No". It's not worth the upgrade imo if you are already using one of the more recent phones like One Plus 7 Pro, S10 & S10+, Huawei P30 Pro etc...this year, Samsung focused more on the hardware design like the shimmering glass and the near bezel-less curved edge screen screen and throw in a "gimmicky" S-Pen that makes you look like an idiot and add little benefits to this Note. Apart from the hardware design language, there is little to no added incentive to upgrade especially for those considering to upgrade from S10/S10+...

For now, I will wait for a "big-bang" change in the smart phone industry...as it no longer excites me like it did 3 years ago. Triple camera, wireless charging, Amoled display, Bluetooth 5.0, near bezel-less screen, notch/notch-less/punch-hole/tear-drop front facing camera design etc...all these features can easily be found on some of the mid-tiered smart phones these days...nothing new that can make you go "wow" for this latest iteration of the Note series imo.

Before someone remarked that I'm an Apple fanboi, let me just say this one more time...I'm brand-agnostic and I love Android phone > iPhone to be frank, simply because it is more robust and fun to play with. I have been using Pixel 2 XL for the longest time (coming to 4 yrs and still using it as my spare phone) before I switched to iPhone XS Max as my daily driver (due to work and compatibility of apps). There are things I liked about iOS as well but definitely NOT Face ID which requires me pick up my phone every time to unlock the phone...it is a chore!

Samsung has built an app call good lock to prevent the accidental false touch at edge. A lot of people quite puzzled why Samsung put it in the apps instead of their setting.

I read that it work quite well, I did install on my S10 but I don't have false touch issue.

Oh I didn’t know that. Thks for sharing with members here. Maybe Samsung felt that “accidental” touches by users is not really a common problem faced.

Features maybe be gimmicky to some but are very useful to others so I always welcome them with open arms, as the saying goes ‘better to have it when you want to use it rather then don’t have it when you need it’ :)
My 2+ years old S8 is still serving me well but the urge to upgrade for a better user experience is there, is a matter of time! I will always use a Samsung phone for my daily driver cos there’s one feature that no other phones have, and that is MST. I do e-payment everyday and with MST, it’s accepted everywhere that have e-machines! No credit cards and a couple of dollars in my wallet when I m out, really make my day ;D
Other brand phones are only for backups and play play only :)

Early next year, the Samsung S11 will take the list for sure ;D

Having said that, I will still buy the 10 if it drops below $800  ;D

S11 supposed to have the 5x optical zoom.

I would top up a bit for the S10+ 128GB instead.

MST is for all merchants who don't have pay wave machines. I don't carry any CCs now with my current S8.

When things are too good to be true, it usually is...Most likely a scam.

Lazada somehow does not screen vendors. There are so many soccer jerseys with prices that are too good to be true.
