Congratulations on your new partnership, Alvin. I am a happy user of several UpTone products. The ISO Regen and LPS-1 are particularly good, especially with my Denafrips Ares DAC.

Welcome aboard as the UpTone Audio agent for Singapore and SEA Alvin! Everyone knows that you provide excellent service to your clients with the Denafrips line, and we are confident that you will represent UpTone very well.

Indeed there are already many UpTone clients in your area.  I did a quick check in our order system and just to Singapore we have made over 200 shipments.

Everyone should know that stand behind our products--with a 3-year warranty and personal support for any questions or issues--and we will also stand behind Vinshine Audio.

My only request is that if you purchase from Vinshine, please approach Alvin first with any use and support questions.  He will then copy me on e-mail messages and any support answers I provide will be copied to both you and he.  That way he learns the answers to common questions and you both feel supported.

One other thing that prospective UpTone product buyers should know:
Unlike most competing brands, our products are priced for direct sale.  There is no UpTone dealer in the world getting typical 40-50% dealer/importer discount on UpTone.  Our dealers have to buy a bunch of product just to receive a 15% discount from USA retail.  That is almost nothing!  But we do try to help them with things like free FedEx freight and over time they may get other incentives and rewards.
So please do not expect or ask Alvin for discounts. It is just not possible.  You will be saving on shipping and hassles/costs of customs importing process, and you will be receiving local support and service.

UpTone has a number of exciting new products in development (not USB related--the ISO REGEN remains the pinnacle in its segment), but it will be a few months until those are announced and available.  For the first time all year, the ISO REGEN, the UltraCap LPS-1, the MMK, the USPCB A>Adapter, and even the magnificent JS-2 choke-filtered, dual-output, 5-7 amp linear power supply are all in stock!
Alvin has the UltraCap LPS-1 (https://uptoneaudio.com/products/ultracap-lps-1) and ISO REGEN (https://uptoneaudio.com/products/iso-regen) now--and he has immediate access to all the other products we offer.  So give him a call!

As we are fond of saying with regards our REGENs: The best DAC you've never heard may be your own.

Thanks and regards,

Alex Crespi

Hi Alvin, it would be great if you could also bring in the USPCB adapter separately? Some of us might wanna get additional adapters or replace USB cables in certain places. Thanks.

Hi Alvin, it would be great if you could also bring in the USPCB adapter separately? Some of us might wanna get additional adapters or replace USB cables in certain places. Thanks.

In a way Alvin already has a few USPCB A>B Adapters in stock.  Every ISO REGEN is bundled with a "free" one, and for his opening order the ISO REGEN kits were packed with the more popular "Standard Orientation" USPCB Adapter.  But since sometimes people want to order ISO REGEN with the "90-Degree Rotated 'B' Plug" version, we included--in a separate bag--the same number of those as the number of ISO REGENs shipped.

It is up to Alvin if he wants to sell any of the extras.  Any Standard Orientation versions sold would have to come out of the ISO REGEN kits and be replaced with a 90-Degree version, so I am sure he won't want to do that for more than a couple of kits.

Of course it is no problem for us to supply Alvin with a stock of USPCB Adapters.  They are VERY popular and most report them sounding better than any USB cable.  Obviously not everyone can utilize these short things.

Hmm... wanting to post a photo, but can't see how to do so in this forum.

Kind regards,

Alex C.

It is suppose to add to the music streamer. The usual consideration is always cost.

Hi Alvin, if it is possible, you should try it with the USPCB from ISO Regen into DAC rather than before the ISO Regen.  Or better still, use 2 USPCBs and assuming you can re-arrange your equipment, sMS200Ultra - USPCB - ISO Regen (LPS-1) - USPCB - DAC   :-)

Let me check with Alex if it's possible. I reckon LPS-1 is limited to 1ampere.

something strange happened to my LPS-1 today. while there is power to it - the LED is green - it would not power up my ultraRendu. I contacted Sonore and Jesus advised me to connect the ultraRendu directly to the Mean Well charger that comes with the LPS-1.

since the LPS-1 is actually able to power up, could the problem be with the umbilical cord that connects the LPS-1 to the ultraRendu?

have any of you guys experienced this issue before? if the issue is really with the umbilical cord, then I am hoping to get a local replacement for it, as opposed to buying it from Uptone Audio directly.

If you have a multimeter, you can easily troubleshoot if the fault lies with your LPS-1 or your ultrarendu.

If you don’t have, the suggestion to use the mean well ac adaptor to connect directly to your ultrarendu will help to isolate Where does the problem lies.

I can confirm the problem was with the umbilical power cord. replacing it solved the issue. however since my unit is still under the 3 year warranty I am hoping that I can get a proper cable replacement from UpTone Audio themselves.

It's hard to say. I had a similar problem and it wasn't the umbilical cord. The light was green too but it just wasn't outputting to the device it was meant to power.

I had to send it back to be repaired.

The quality of Uptone products are quite suspect. I had the unit returned to me in May and it has now malfunctioned again.

I have emailed Alex but have not heard back from him yet.

Honestly, given this experience I would steer clear of their products.
